Alessio Pelagalli is a graduate structural engineer from the University of Rome La Sapienza, Italy. Throughout his master’s degree program, he specialized in structural analysis, architectural detailing, and design. His master’s thesis was about around an international competition focusing on the design of new workshops and warehouses for the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, with a particular emphasis on both the structural and architectural aspects.
Subsequently the completion of his master’s degree, he was awarded an Erasmus+ scholarship that enabled him to undertake an internship at the Delft University of Technology, within the Structural Design & Mechanics group at the Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment (BK). During this internship, his work mainly focused on the finite element method (FEM) analysis of joints and connections involving glass and steel structural components.
Alessio joined Hopper Engineering and Consultancy BV in July 2023 with the role of Graduate Structural Engineer.
