Cristina Noriega

STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

She is a civil engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Her thesis was about earthquake-resistant design. After directing her career on structural design, she studied at the SAHC International Masters Course at the Universidade do Minho in Portugal. She developed her skills in the characterization and evaluation of ancient materials and the seismic risk assessment of structures. The master’s thesis was a seismic analysis and rehabilitation of a non-reinforced masonry building, a prototype of a six-story (Gaioleiro type) building located in Lisbon. Within the master’s, she had the opportunity to be part of the integrated project on the analysis of the lower deck of the Luis I Bridge (World Heritage Site by UNESCO) located in the city of Porto. Her work experience is in structural design and analysis. She had the opportunity to work designing and analyzing bridges of national relevance in Ecuador.

Cristina joined Hopper Engineering and Consultancy BV in April 2022 with the role of Structural Engineer.
