Konstantinos (Kostas) Flegkas is a graduate Civil Engineer of the Polytechnic School of University of Patras, Greece, as well as a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. During his course years he selected the Domain of Geotechnical Engineering and Infrastructure to specialize in. Being fascinated by the subject of soil-structure interaction, he chose all the electives that oriented around this matter and the deeper understanding of the dynamic behavior of soil and structures as well as the combination between the two.
His thesis was conducted on: “Numerical simulation of dynamic response of scaled down structures” and it described the process of scaling down and modeling of a RC 6-storey building, into a model made of steel components that could present the same dynamic behavior as the original in the elastic area.
Recently he started experimenting with the combination of Programming and more traditional tools of engineering, exploring the capabilities this combination can offer and always being eager to expand this knowledge in various applications and projects.
Konstantinos joined Hopper Engineering and Consultancy BV with the role of Graduate Structural Engineer.
